Our goal is to raise $20,000 towards project supplies and donations to give back to locals in need. Onsite volunteers will build customized Job Readiness Packs and create No Sew Fleece Tied Blankets.

Please join our annual NetVU Day of Caring volunteer project, designed to give back to the community hosting Accelerate, powered by NetVU. Working with HandsOn Twin Cities and the Big Chill NetVU Chapter, we’ll be doing what insurance folks do best – helping others!

Stay for the entire time or drop by as your schedule allows. If you arrive after the project kicks off at 8:30 a.m., we’ll get you up to speed. Participate as you can!

This year’s recipient will be the organization Avivo, a non-profit serving Minnesota since 1960. Avivo specializes in helping individuals and their families who face complex barriers to success – poverty, homelessness, unemployment, chemical addiction or mental health concerns. Avivo helps nearly 15,000 people each year achieve recovery, employment, and economic advancement.

Staggering statistics affecting Minneapolis and St. Paul include:

  • 10,233 people experiencing homeless in the Minneapolis/St. Paul region
  • 96% of the people Avivo serves live in poverty
  • 4,358 men and women found work or entered careers thanks to Avivo
  • 4,214 individuals increased wellness through Avivo’s chemical and mental health services
  • 798 people experiencing homelessness found supportive housing through Avivo
